Tutorial Support
In addition to class tution hours, you will have regular individual tutorials with a member of the tutorial staff assigned to supervise your overall progress. Your tutorials will take place every 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the intensity of the course, and will last 15 to 20 minutes each. Your tutor will have your full progress record, and will use the opportunity to ascertain your view of your immediate progress, your strong and weak areas, and your progress against your longer-term plan.
Certification
On successful completion of language levels II, III and IV of the programme, you will be awarded the Sheffield Hallam University Certificate of Achievement. In each case, the Certificate will indicate the duration of the course in hours, a brief summary of the course curriculum and a statement of language competence based on the learning outcomes for that level as indicated by the assessment procedure.

This course concentrates on Oral English conversation in a variety of situations. Oral exercises are conducted in the classes for the students to practise and benefit from them. These oral exercises and conversation help to build up their confidence in using English.
